  • China

My brother Caleb just got back from China, where my brother David, his wife Katy, and his daughter Michaela live.  Here are a couple of pictures..

Caleb, David, and his daughter (my niece) Michaela, in China.

Here are Caleb and David fishing in China.  I love my brothers.  I miss David too, as I don’t get to see him often.

Do you have any family members who live far away?

    And here’s a joke for you all…

    “Oldest profession….”
    http://pacprod.com/jokes

A doctor, an engineer, and a politician were arguing as to which profession was older.

“Well,” argued the doctor, “without a physician mankind could not have survived, so I am sure that mine is the oldest profession.”

“No,” said the engineer, “before life began there was complete chaos, and it took an engineer to create some semblance of order from this chaos. So engineering is older.”

“But,” chirped the triumphant politician, “who created the chaos?”

Do politicians bring more chaos than good?

  • Hey Pete,

Dang, China is really far away.  Nice pix…thanks for sharing!!

My sisters and parents all live pretty close.  I feel very lucky.  We see eachother pretty often.

    Love, Candy

  • No one in my family lives that far away … my great grandparents were from Canada but that is not far away.

I loved the joke! The way that joke started off … I thought it was gonna be one of those bad ones. ha ha

Hmmmm I don’t know but we do need Politicians. That is sooooo cool that they are in China! You and Caleb look alike. :spinning:

  • I didn’t wanna say anything too evil about politicians … Big Brother could be monitoring this!

  • Wow…nice pictures indeed!!:) Thanks for sharing…Pete:)

  • yea my relatives are in Hong Kong

  • I suppose they’re not THAT far away… my parents are only 4 1/2 hours away, my cousins are 6 hours away, and my mom’s side is 3 1/2 hours away, my brother is 7 hours away, and my sister (for the summer at least, is in NJ), and somehow, unintentionally I found somewhat of a middle between them, which is nice.

  • I have cousins in San Bernadino, Alaska and Colorado. Fortunately we have never been close so the distance between us does not bother me.

  • my brother is in Japan…stupid military

  • Which part of China does your brother live pete?? It feels kinda strange and funny because I can totally read those Chinese characters on that big umbrella. Haven’t seen Chinese characters for a long time. I SO miss China! My parents both live there all their lives. And I’m the person who live far away from them.

    Funny joke by the way~~

  • nice. And, by the way, I hope you had a killer Sat. mornin!

  • RYC: The older you get the less you are willing to bend it seems. Maybe Paul is uncompromising. Maybe she has realized he is old. Hard to tell. We won’t hear the whole story I am sure.

  • Pete! How come you didn’t go with them to China? School in the way? *lol* Nice pics.

I do have relatives living back in Vietnam. My father’s parents and his sister and her family.

I do think politician do bring more chaos than good.

  • I don’t think I have any relatives outside of the states.  And being the oldest and craziest, I’m most likely going to be the first one to move, and I want to live in/near London for awhile.

    She’s so cute!
