  • Bush’s Ratings

Here are President Bush’s approval ratings according to my readers and friends…3.8 (with 10 being excellent and 1 being horrible).  So he is 1.2 points below neutral, which shows a disapproval rating similar to his current ratings by different U.S. polls.  The highest rating was a 7 and the lowest was a -4, which I counted as a 1 (lowest possible rating).  This may surprise some of you but I would actually give President Bush a 7, as I consider myself pro-life and I favor low taxes on all Americans.  If my vote is factored in, President Bush would receive 3.98 on my poll.  Though I consider myself a conservative, I am friends with many Democrats who think differently than I do (as you can see by this poll’s results).  For me, the beauty of this country is that we can all vote how we think best.  Thanks for your opinions.

P.S., I’m not necessarily looking for a political debate, so feel free to have the last word here.

  • Wow I’m surprised your are a conservative dear.  That’s cool with me.  I consider myself an independent…both political parties have disappointed me.

  • 1. i understand you are pro-life, as am i, but how has bush helped that? as wonderful as it would be, the president will never be able to abolish/outlaw abortion, so using that as a campaign issue is null.

    2. his tax cuts only benefitted the top 5% of the nation (tax cuts for the rich). during this adminstrations reign, the economy has shrunk in spending, but yet corporations (the Dow Jones Index) are reporting record highs. How are record-profits and a slow economy possible :: cutting low-wage workers. ford motor company cut 30,000 workers because they felt their company was too bloated to make fast changes. the issue isn’t the workers though, they have done their jobs… building the cars they were told to. what they need to do it fire some of their creative executives have proven they can’t keep up with European and Asian auto manufactures. Just take a look at any of the new concept cars on the car show circuit. Non-american : innovative, small, eco-friendly, cool looking. American : rehash of some “classic” model, larger, more power (less eco-friendly), very little innovations in technology. That right there can show you why the big three have been losing.

    3. in what ways, besides pro-life, religion and tax “cuts” does bush deserve your 7?

  • It’s a movie, not a book

  • RYC:  Yes I love Ibanez guitars. I have 2 Ibanez “S” guitars….One is neon green with a double locking trem on it.  The guitar I play the most though is not an Ibanez.  It’s a Peavey Wolfgang.  You know, the one Eddie Van Halen designed.  It has a double-locking tremelo with a drop D tuner that is sweeet.  I just love that guitar.  I love teles too though.  I love the way they sound….That’s cool that you play!!  I bet you write songs don’t you??

  • I have read the book (a looong time ago), but movies are always different, and our assignment has to do with the movie.

    You should, it’s really good.
