Hey all, my band, Rufus Tree, is in a competition at Indieheaven.com. Our song, “Dying to Live,” has been selected to be in this competition. The top 50 songs at the end of this week will be printed in a magazine. We are currently at 51. To vote for the song, scroll down and click on “Dying to Live” by Rufus Tree. Then go to the top of the page and click how ever many stars you think it deserves (1-5). Here’s the link. You can vote once per day.
P.S., let me know what you think of the song if you get a chance to listen to it.
Thanks much, Pete.
Also, Here’s an interesting read I found about Jesus washing his disciples’ feet…

I especially liked the beginning segment.

Unique sound. I’m diggin’ the violin and…is it the mandolin? That’s what you play, right? I need to get ready for work, but I plan to check out the other bands tonight. Thanks for the link. Good luck with the competition. : smile :
Did you guys ever go to Yokota Air Base while in Japan? I was there for 3 years. That’s really cool of you guys to do that. Even though Japan & many other american military occupied countries are really awesome people get really homesick & love some entertainment.
Now you are bumped up 2! good going : )
I like it
Wow…nice song: laugh : Please keep the good work up Pete…^^have a GOOD day…may God bless…
I voted! 5 stars, baby, yeah! I’ll do it again tomorrow, and Friday. : wink :
Good song. I especially like the intro. What do you play? I voted.
Up to 49 now! I listened and voted, great sound. Good luck!
Checked out the other link too. Thanks for sharing.
Just listened to some excerpts of Rufus songs. Nebula is cool. I love the rock edge it has. The drumbs, the bass, the electric guitar…it’s pretty good.
RYC: I didn’t even realize the numbers went in the order they did. LOTR would definitely beat Elf on some days, but to be honest, Elf would win 8 days out of 10. Sorry. I’m a simple humor kind of girl. : biggrin :
will check the song out…..didn’t know you were in a band……….stop by, inlighten me……..:)
ryc: Awesome. I fell in love with the sound of the hammered dulcimer on a Rich Mullins song long long ago.
RYC: For better I’d say. More men should be like you.
RYC: Wow, it surprises me that they teach it. I grew up in public school and learned about it. I don’t think it’s wrong to teach it to children, because it’s good to know about all the ideas. I believe most people don’t form their strong opinions about life until they reach college anyway. I haven’t studied a lot about evolution, but I do believe in micro-evolution, that is that certain things in humans have changed, such as living longer, being taller than before etc… Much of that though has to do with nutrition and the advancement of medical science. Anyway, I should study it more. So do they say it’s just a theory at your school?
Have a GOOD Wednesday Pete…: laugh :
voted. yeah, winter is brutal but gotta love the winter.
