The president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, recently questioned the existence of the holocaust (link), saying “Israel must be wiped off the map.” (link).
How should the U.S. and/or Israel respond to such statements?
Well we know that no matter how many enemies Isreal has with the same M.O. God will always protect them! Denying history and fact is just ridiculous but that is the way it is when you hate … you can not see clearly. Even if he was given proof he would not recieve it. So what can you do with something/someone like that? I really don’t know how they should respond except to say that it is insulting.
*Israel … ha ha can’t spell …
Hi Pete!
My view of the nation of Israel is inflamatory, so I shall withold it.
As for Israel’s response to Iran…? There’s not much they can do though, considering that all of the middle east would annihilate them if they made any move against Iran.
Consider Hilter. He never denied the holocaust. In fact, he used the Arminian holocaust as an example of how history “forgets” genocide and how we ignore it anyway. He justified himself by this. The Jewish holocaust was too complex to be a conspiracy. It would be great if it was, but the problem with a conspiracy is that the bigger it is, the less it works.
The U.S. should be concerned for Israel as we would be for any other ally. In my opinion, no more than that… if even that.
I hate politics
they should kick ur mamma’s booty.
I read the articles and he sounds completely incompetent, contradictory, and insecure to me. He stated, “We oppose every type of crime against any people.”, when talking about the Holocaust. Call me crazy but wouldn’t wiping Israel off the map be considered a crime against the people, even a second Holocaust if you will? I wonder how long it will take the citizens of Iran to pick up on his inablility to make a valid point and back it up? Will it be after he’s made scattered and inneffective plans for the “removal” of Israel? Just my thoughts on the issue… –Tiffany
If he puts money to his mouth, then something should be done.
As far as the “statement” (your link is an article f/Oct 2005). A cool headed rather than warmonger response is gonna be better for everyone. There’s no denying that Israel is under attack, but simply bombing Iran is not going to alleviate the threat to Israel. The pres. of Iran is playing to his Islamic fundamentalist base, like Bush plays to the radical right wing Christians. Think of it in light of Bush trying to force thru an anti-gay marriage constitutional amendment.
While there are portions of the Islamic world that do indeed want Israel wiped off the map, there are many, if not a majority of Iranians that don’t agree with their radical government….in this country, we have professors that have a KKK-like philosophy teaching university level courses that the holocaust never happened, that it’s all a Jewish conspiracy.
While it is a dangerous and complex issue, honest self evaluation yields our similarity to Iran in ideological extremity.
It is my own personal opinion that Israel should be protected. I can’t remember a time when Israel ever caused us trouble but Iraq, Iran, Palestine and similar countries that hate Israel have always been a pain in the A$$. They always involve themselves in some kind of terrorism, kill our people and burn our flag on TV for all to witness. This has been going on for decades.
Israel has been preparing themselves over the years. They are no longer helpless and they should take these statements seriously. They need to be ready.
Be numb, as they always have some 20-30 years ago. And sneak in from time to time. Nothing really changes…

The Arabs are, and always will be, set against Isreal – jealous that they were not given what they think their birthright was. It was not theirs and never will be. As a Nation, we would be wise to back Isreal.
Hope everythings keep going well for you Pete…may God bless: unsure :<—i love this face…hahahahaha: laugh :
