Warmth and Light
I have lived my life in darkness,
With a solitary candle to provide light and warmth.
Thick and swimming, in all of its ambience,
Rays fall gently on open book pages.
A glass of wine, and smoke from a pipe.
Tobacco picked when dark and ripe.
Still none of these things provide warmth,
Like a solitary candle’s ambient light.

i was going to say something. but i don’t think it would be appropriate.
Deep and kind of sad…like Lake Michigan.
That is really smooth & it flows, it reminds me of silk.
